Today we chatted with Dov, Chief Technology Officer at the Baz Group to learn about his unique role and how he and his team collaborate with other teams to ensure the company is operating and delivering the best product to market. Hi Dov! Talk to us about your role and your team. What are you responsible for and how do you collaborate with other teams? What do you enjoy most about your role?
In my role, I oversee the technology strategy at Baz Group—focusing on infrastructure, cybersecurity, and streamlining operations to support our growing real estate business. Over the past year, I’ve worked to modernize our systems, reduce reliance on third-party providers, and create a technology environment that is resilient, secure, and thoughtfully aligned with how our teams actually work.
I oversee everything from IT infrastructure and cybersecurity to day-to-day systems and vendor relationships. I collaborate daily with our Finance, Construction, and Sales & Marketing teams to ensure that our technology stack meets their needs today and anticipates their future requirements. Together with my team, we’ve strengthened both in-house and remote tech support, with a focus on long-term strategy and innovation.
Can you share a memorable achievement or project?
One of our proudest accomplishments was successfully transitioning Baz Group from a long-standing IT provider with on-premises systems to an independent, fully cloud-based environment - supported by key vendors. I’m also proud of the role our team played in the planning and smooth execution of our major office move, all while maintaining near zero downtime. Today, our users benefit from a self-managed, cloud-first environment with access to 24/7 support—ensuring consistent, responsive technology, especially critical in a fast-paced real estate environment.
What are you most excited to work on in the coming months?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on expanding automation for user lifecycle management, replacing aging hardware, rolling out more robust identity controls, and continuing to strengthen our cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery practices. The goal is to ensure Baz Group’s technology posture remains both secure and scalable as we continue to grow in the real estate sector.
