Today we chatted with Amal, Corporate Senior Director of Sales & Marketing at Spring Living Retirement Communities to learn about her unique role and how she and her team collaborate with other teams to ensure all Spring Living communities are providing the best resident experience, employee engagement, service excellence, and creating a great culture. Read the interview below to get to know Amal and learn more about her achievements and aspirations.

Hi Amal! Talk to us about your role and your team. What are you responsible for and how do you collaborate with other teams? What do you enjoy most about your role?

I lead a driven team of sales professionals. We handle everything from the first “hello” to a signed lease and a smooth, welcoming transition to operations. I’m big on coaching, clear goals, and keeping the team engaged through strong local relationships.

I work closely with our marketing partners, operations, maintenance, culinary, and life enrichment to help bring attention to our brand and services and ensure that when seniors and their families come to a tour they feel welcomed and they learn about the services and solutions we have for them.

What I also love most, is working with a passionate and driven team. The  pride they take in their work is inspiring and I continue to learn and grow because of each of them.

I love seeing families and residents thrive. Years ago, I promised my grandfather I’d spend my career helping seniors. That promise still guides me every day.

Can you share a memorable achievement?

Helping seniors every day is what fulfils me. Professionally, I’m proud that we achieved 96% overall occupancy last year and have consistently maintained averages above 92%.

What are you most excited to work on in the coming months?

I’m excited about the road ahead with a company that promotes growth and focuses on adding real value to seniors’ lives. I’m looking forward to the new year and the opportunity to help even more families and seniors discover our community and services.
