Last week, BZU (Baz University) students had an opportunity to visit an active construction site where they learned first-hand about the steps and processes in constructing a high-rise building.
At the House of Assembly, Marlin Spring Developments’ condominium project located in Toronto’s Junction neighborhood, students watched as the Marlin Spring Construction Management team coordinated layouts prior to pouring concrete.
As a special surprise, the group rode the construction hoist and were greeted by a concrete bucket zooming by against a backdrop of the Toronto skyline, complete with the CN tower!
Special attention was paid to the safety detailing and various ways the team implements the Ontario building code every step of the way.
BZU is a multi-course educational program designed to provide insight and knowledge to all of our team members through a structured, interactive and collaborative program.
